CLASSES
Barnard Castle Dog Training Club is a small friendly club that offers a
variety of courses or training for owners and their dogs.
Obedience Classes

The club runs obedience classes on Monday nights at Barnard Castle
Rugby Club in Birch Road. (For a map

The courses are part of The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme. All
courses run for 6 weeks, please see local press for more details.

Puppies
Dogs over 6 weeks old, who have been vaccinated, can
complete the Kennel Club ‘Good Citizen Puppy Foundation’ course. This course
aims to provide a means of socialising puppies and to lay down a foundation for
education and training. Constructive play and suitable incentives are encouraged
within this puppy training programme.
Time: Monday 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Older Dogs
Once basic obedience has been mastered, owners can work
towards the Kennel Club ‘Good Citizen Bronze Award’ The Bronze award aims to
provide the handlers with a basic knowledge of understanding and training their
canine companion.
Time: Monday 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
